The role of the Europe team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

The NOBATEK Europe team comprises Claudia HUNZIKER KELLER, Head of the Europe team, Lise RAYNAUD, European Projects Manager, and Liza RANDRIANARIJAONA, European Projects Assistant. The team is involved as a partner and also as a coordinator in various European projects focused on ecological transition for the construction sector. The main objectives of the team are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identify relevant calls <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The team write proposals aligned with the European Commission objectives <\/a>and submit the targeted proposals to secure funding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Build and coordinate consortia<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The team creates consortia composed of international actors from various sectors with complementary skills to fit the needs of each coordinated project. NOBATEK collaborates with research institutes, universities, large companies, SMEs, and local authorities across Europe to develop innovative projects and strong partnerships. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Influence and dissemination<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since 2015, NOBATEK has been a member of national and European platforms \u2013 like the ECTP<\/a> – to strengthen its strategic presence and influence. The Europe team is also involved in the Cluster 5 National Thematic Group (GTN – Climate and Energy<\/a>), which supports national actors in EU-funded projects. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Example of a coordinated project: Metabuilding Labs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The METABUILDING LABS project involves 46 partners from 13 member states. It has two main objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. To facilitate access to testing facilities for building envelopes in the European construction sector through the METABUILDING platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. To support the development and enhancement of testing facilities, including O3BETs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A stepping stone for companies<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

European projects give companies the opportunity to become key players in the acceleration of innovation and strengthen their impact by accessing new markets on the international scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our teams mainly focus on the thematic calls of Cluster 5<\/a>: Climate, Energy and Mobility of the Horizon Europe <\/a>program, addressing EU\u2019s major challenges regarding the ecological & environmental transition of the construction sector and making sure that Europe becomes a carbon-neutral continent by 2050.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to competitive funding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to European programs like Horizon Europe,the actors of the sustainable construction sector can lead and participate in ambitious projects to promote high-impact innovations for the sector. The Horizon Europe program has a 95,5 billions euros budget and dedicate 35% of it to tackling climate change.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A key strategic axis<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the support of the consortium and the EU, members can actively participate in defining European priorities for innovation in the building sector by joining various committees and European partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nobatek has been a member of the ECTP steering committee since 2015 and joined the Built4People<\/a> partnership council in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our experts are also involved in the Built Environment Decarbonisation, Built For Life, Digital Built Environment, Heritage & Regeneration, Materials & Sustainability committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strategic involvement strengthens our influence on the orientations of future European projects <\/strong>and our visibility within key ecosystems<\/strong>, while granting us privileged access to networks, partners and opportunities in the sustainable construction sector.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Build an international network and increasing project impacts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

By creating and joining European consortia, participants can not only expand their connections but also play a significant role in driving innovation on a European scale. Horizon Europe typically funds projects that involve around 20 partners from at least three different countries. This offers participants the opportunity to collaborate with representatives from over 27 EU member states, as well as various international partners. For example, NOBATEK operates in more than 15 European countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
